Bio

Jackie Andres is a Chicago-based freelance artist, writer, and early art educator. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. She is currently working as a Staff Editor for Colossal, and an after school Teaching Artist for grades K-5.

Her work has been shown in solo Exhibition at the Hairpin Art Center in Avondale, Chicago (2023). Her group exhibitions include the SAIC Galleries in the Loop, Chicago (2022), and the Zhou B. Art Center in Bridgeport, Chicago (2018). Her collaborative short film work has been screened at the Gene Siskel Film Center in the Loop, Chicago (2019). Jackie is a recipient of the Creative Honors Merit Scholarship, the Competitive Excellence Award, and the Culver Memorial Grant, all from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
